IRB Predictions- September
Before you open your book and begin reading, take several minutes to reflect on the cover of your book. Make a few descriptive notes about what you see on the cover: title, author, illustration/graphics. Now, based on this observation, write one or two sentences that predict what you think will occur in this story.

I predict that this book will be scary or about ghost.

My book is The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. From the title, the illustration, and the back, I predict that this book is about someone in Nazi Germany who loves books and steals them. I also think that this character loves books so much that he or she may be caught.
When i look at the cover i see a girl who is lying in a letter with all sorts of things around her like a bird cage, tiger, mitten, prestent,banana, babydall, and a postage stamp. When i think about it the Aurther is probly very imagintive. The book is called The Chain Letter by Julie Schumacher.
The book that I am reading is the Son Of The Mob.I predict that this book is a spy book because the character on the cover has black sunglasses and black attire. Also it will probably be a romantic book because the character on the cover is holding red roses which means affection.
When i look at the book i see a Virity of things such as... A girl sitting im a Letter, bird cage, baby doll, toy tiger, banana, mittin, rabits foot, and a present. I see that the aruther is very imagintive. The book is called The Chain Letter, Written by Julie Schumacher
The title of the book is "In the Cards Love" and it's by Mariah Fredericks. I haven't read anything by her before but I'm guessing that the book will be about this girl named Anna and her friends reading tarot cards and things actually happening in real life like what they read in the cards because the cover of the book shows some tarot cards and a few hands on them. I think it's going to be an interesting story. Maybe what they read in the cards will NOT be what they want to happen though!

GATHERING BLUE

On the cover of Gathering blue, I see a picture of a girl in a Light blue silk blouse, (Black hair). This girl is fiddeling with pink, purple, and white flours.The backround is black.
I predict that the girl on the cover of this book will be verry sad at one point in the book, because she is rosy in the picture and looking down and upset.
My book is Black Hawk Down. I predict that after they go into their mission in africa Sgt. Eversman and his platoon will get pinned down and will have to try to survive while in the middle of a war until their mission is over. In the begging the troops go into a very sticky situation with lots of gunfire but I dont know how it will all play out yet.
I think the book "One of those hideous books where the mother dies" will be kind of sad. from the first 2 pages, it seems likes shes mad that she has to move away from her home, and basically her life.
The book i am reading is Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoniex. I predict that somthing very intresting is going to happen at Hogwarts. And that Harry is going to be experieincing a lot of new emotions and changes.
I predict that One More River is about a girl that is uprooted from all she knows and has to move to a foreign country. She doesn't want to go but she has no choice. I predict that she will perservere and will eventually be happy with her move and will havwe friends.
